- Frederick A. Spear, professor emeritus of French and the "ultimate bibliographer," according to a Skidmore colleague, died Dec. 31, 2008, in Portsmouth, N.H. He was 85.
- William Spears, associate professor emeritus of psychology, died December 7, 1992.
- Richard Speers, associate professor of mathematics, died Feb. 18 at his home in Saratoga. He was 67.
- Professor Emerita of Religion and Women’s Studies Mary Zeiss Stange died July 7, 2024. She was 74.
- E. Thomas “Tom” Steigerwald of Milton, New York, a longtime member of the Skidmore Shop staff, died Monday, February 8, 2016. He was 72.
- Richard Joseph Steigerwald, a member of the Williamson Sports Center staff, died on February 11, 2016. He was 75.
- Bill Stevens, a longtime facilities employee died November 6, 2017, at his home in Saratoga. Springs. He was 78.
- Theresa “Teri” Alice Stevens, who served the Office of Admissions for more than two decades, died June 10, 2020. She was 90.
- Alfred Robert Stiassney, a four-decade staff member, died February 2, 2014, in Saratoga Springs. He was 95.
- Rudolf Sturm, professor emeritus of Slavic languages, died November 27, 2000, in Saratoga Springs. He was 88.
- Theresa Sullivan, who served Skidmore as kitchen/dining room assistant from 1974 until her retirement in 1989, died Aug. 29, 2021. She was 92.
- Margaret 'Peg' A. North Tacardon, associate professor of social work emerita, died Tuesday, January 21, 2020. She was 73.
- Charlotte A. Taylor, a longtime member of the Dining Services staff, died January 30, 2014. She was 77.
- Patricia Totten, who worked 45 years in the Office of Alumni Affairs, died May 25, 2014, at St. Peter's Hospice in Albany.
- Thomas M. Travis, a member of the information technology staff for almost 25 years, died suddenly at home on January 18, 2015.
- Dorothy W. Upton, Dorothy W. Upton, professor of English for 35 years, died January 10, 1963. She was 66.
- Richard Upton, professor emeritus of art, died October 18, 2013, in Sarasota, Florida, of complications of Parkinson's disease. He was 82.
- George B. Van Wagner, an endearing retired campus safety officer known for his enforcement of campus rules and his service to others, died on Friday, Nov. 11,2022. He was 85.
- Rose M. (Terlizzi) Verro, who served as a secretary in 鶹Ƶ’s Physical Plant department for 25 years, died peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025. She was 92.
