Michael Jemison, sanitation and safety steward in Dining Services, has been named the Office of Sustainability's inaugural Sustainability Superstar, which recognizes a member of the campus community who is helping make Skidmore a greener place. Jemison received the award for his contributions to the revamped ReuseMore program in The Spa: "Michael went above and beyond in researching, developing, and inspiring signage for new and improved ReuseMore program and excelling with day-to-day programs logistics."
Beck Krefting, professor of American studies and director of the Center for Leadership, Teaching and Learning, published a chapter titled “The Tech-onomy of Stand-Up Comedy” in . Emilio Vavarella, assistant professor of media and film Studies, was featured in a recent , highlighting Vavarella’s company Lifeweave. The company transforms personal DNA into bespoke woven tapestries, merging science and art to create one-of-a-kind textiles that celebrate identity and innovation.
